Depart from Arusha in the morning and enjoy a scenic drive through the Tanzanian countryside to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, begin an exciting game drive through the park famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Spot wildlife such as lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelopes, and many colorful bird species along the Tarangire River. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic picnic site surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes and wildlife views. Continue with an afternoon game drive exploring different areas of the park and searching for more animals and photographic opportunities. Later, drive to Karatu to your lodge or camp for dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay.
Depart from Karatu early in the morning and drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular wildlife experience. Descend into the crater for a game drive across the beautiful caldera filled with diverse wildlife and breathtaking scenery. Spot animals such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and if lucky, the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool while surrounded by the natural beauty of the crater floor. In the afternoon, ascend the crater and continue driving toward Mto wa Mbu through scenic highland landscapes. Arrive in Mto wa Mbu for relaxation, local cultural experiences, dinner, and overnight stay.
Depart from Mto wa Mbu in the morning and drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley landscapes toward Kilimanjaro International Airport. Arrive at the airport for your scheduled flight check-in and departure procedures. Enjoy a short domestic flight from KIA to Zanzibar with views of mountains, plains, and the Indian Ocean. Upon arrival, meet your representative and proceed enjoying a guided tour of Stone Town, exploring its rich history, narrow streets, local markets, and cultural landmarks. Visit historical sites, old Arab houses, and the famous House of Wonders while learning about the island’s heritage. Have a full-day ocean excursion known as Safari Blue that takes place on a traditional dhow sailing boat in the Menai Bay area. The trip includes sailing through clear turquoise waters while enjoying views of small islands and mangroves. You stop at coral reefs for snorkeling where you can see colorful fish and marine life. There is also time to relax and swim on natural sandbanks in the middle of the ocean. A highlight of the day is a fresh seafood BBQ lunch served on a small island with tropical fruits.
