Day to day description

Day Materuni Waterfalls & Coffee Tour

Start your day with a pick-up from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha around 8:00 am and drive to the village of Materuni, located at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival, embark on a guided hike through lush landscapes, passing through coffee and banana plantations. Enjoy the scenic walk as you head towards the Materuni Waterfalls. The hike typically takes about 1-2 hours, depending on your pace. Once at the falls, take in the stunning views and, if you like, take a refreshing dip in the cool waters of the waterfall pool.

After the waterfall visit, return to the village for a traditional Chagga lunch. Post-lunch, participate in a guided coffee tour where you will learn about the coffee-making process from bean to cup. Engage in hands-on activities such as roasting and grinding the coffee beans, and finally, enjoy a freshly brewed cup of local coffee. In the late afternoon, drive back to your hotel, arriving in the early evening with wonderful memories of the day.
