Day to day description

Arrival Pre safari

On this day, no activities are scheduled with us, as it is designated for your arrival or pre-safari transit. You will spend the day at your arrival hotel or in transit, depending on your travel arrangements.

Day 1 Trek from Momella Gate to Miriakamba Hut

Begin your day with morning pick-up at your hotel to Arusha National Park, home to the magnificent Mount Meru, Tanzania’s second-highest mountain. After registration at Momella Gate, start your guided trek through lush rainforest rich with wildlife such as giraffes, buffaloes, and colobus monkeys. Walk along scenic trails with beautiful views of waterfalls and volcanic landscapes. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the forest while learning about local flora and fauna from your guide. Stop for lunch along the trail before continuing the hike. Arrive at Miriakamba Hut, where you can relax and enjoy stunning sunset views over the plains of Arusha National Park. Dinner and overnight at the hut.

Day 2 Summit Attempt & Return to Arusha

Wake up early for the exciting summit trek toward Mount Meru Summit, offering breathtaking sunrise views and panoramic landscapes of northern Tanzania. Hike through alpine terrain with spectacular views of the crater rim and ash cone. On clear days you may even see Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the clouds in the distance. After enjoying the summit scenery and taking photos, begin the descent back to Miriakamba Hut for a short rest and lunch. Continue trekking down through the forest to Momella Gate where your driver will meet you. Transfer back to Arusha with unforgettable memories of your Mount Meru trekking adventure. Have dinner and overnight stay at Green Mountain Hotel
