Today features the most famous hiking experience in Udzungwa Mountains National Park—the spectacular trek to Sanje Waterfalls. After breakfast, begin a guided hike through dense tropical rainforest filled with birds, butterflies, and rare primates such as the red colobus and Sanje mangabey monkeys. The trail gradually climbs to the stunning 170-meter Sanje Waterfalls, one of Tanzania’s highest waterfalls. At the top, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views across the Kilombero Valley and relax while swimming in the natural pools. After a picnic lunch and time to enjoy the scenery, descend back through the forest and return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.
