Day to day description

Arrival Pre safari

On this day, no activities are scheduled with us, as it is designated for your arrival or pre-safari transit. You will spend the day at your arrival hotel or in transit, depending on your travel arrangements.

Should you require airport transfers or accommodation for this day, we would be pleased to arrange these services upon request.

Day 1 Arusha – Lake Natron

Depart from Arusha and drive through the Great Rift Valley toward Lake Natron. Enjoy scenic landscapes, Maasai villages, and volcanic surroundings along the way. Arrive at the campsite near Lake Natron for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 Lake Natron Exploration, waterfalls & Cultural tour

  • After breakfast, visit the beautiful Ngare Sero waterfalls for a short hike and swimming opportunity. Later enjoy a Maasai cultural experience and explore the Lake Natron area known for flamingos and dramatic volcanic scenery. Relax at the campsite and prepare for the midnight summit trek.

Day 3 Oldoinyo Lengai Summit Trek - Lake Natron

Around midnight, begin the climb of Ol Doinyo Lengai, the famous “Mountain of God” of the Maasai people. Reach the summit at sunrise and enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Natron, the Great Rift Valley, and surrounding volcanoes. Descend back to the camp for rest, meals, and overnight.

Day 4 Lake Natron – return to Arusha

After breakfast, depart Lake Natron and drive back to Arusha with scenic stops along the way. Arrive in the afternoon/evening.
