Start your day early with a pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi and embark on a scenic 1.5 to 2-hour drive to the Machame Gate, the starting point of your Kilimanjaro adventure. After completing the registration process and meeting your experienced guide and porters, begin your hike through the lush montane forest, enjoying the vibrant flora and fauna as you ascend. Take breaks to rest and hydrate, and marvel at the changing landscape as the trail transitions into the heather zone. Reach Machame Camp, located at 3,000 meters, in time for a packed lunch with breathtaking views of the Shira Plateau and Mount Meru. After lunch, start your descent back to Machame Gate, savoring the serene environment and capturing photos of the unique scenery. Upon arrival at the gate, celebrate your accomplishment with your team before boarding your vehicle for the return journey to Arusha or Moshi.
