Arrival Day description

Explore the wilderness of Arusha National Park on foot under the guidance of a professional armed ranger. Traverse open savannahs and forested areas, learning about wildlife behavior, tracking, and native plants. Observe giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and colobus monkeys safely while enjoying close encounters with nature. The tour concludes with a scenic picnic at Momella Lakes and stunning views of Mount Meru.

Day 1 From Arusha City to Arusha National Park

  • 07:30 AM – Pick up from Arusha hotel
  • 08:30 AM – Arrival at Arusha National Park; briefing with armed ranger
  • 09:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Guided walking safari through savannah and forest; spot                          giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and colobus monkeys
  • 12:00 PM – 01:00 PM – Picnic lunch at Momella Lakes with views of Mount Meru
  • 01:00 PM – 03:00 PM – Continue walking and nature observation, photography                               opportunities
  • 03:30 PM – Return to hotel in Arusha
